Anxiety-Low Mood-Anger-Stress

Everyone has feelings of anxiety, low mood, anger and/or stress at some point in their life. It is a natural response to upsetting events and circumstances, and is very normal. It only becomes a problem when these feeling become the main way we think and make sense of the things going on around us.

When life becomes very hard we often find that each tiny decision becomes a battle to the point where life can feel impossible. It can often feel like you are watching your own life pass by. You are there but also not there. Everything seems out of reach and far away.

I often describe the feeling of low mood as being like the dementors from Happy Potter. They are described as evil creatures who “feed on positive human emotions and leave only the negative ones. Dementors drain ‘peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them…thus generating feelings of depression and despair in any person in close proximity to them”

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) helps you to regain control of your mind. Most importantly SFH offers hope. We focus on the future and do not dig up past problems. As we learn to manage our thinking our brain naturally start to solve problems that are causing us any issues.
