Exams…if your anything like me then when you hear or see that word you can literally feel yourself begin to become stressed and anxious. Unfortunately, exams are often a part of normal life especially when you’re at school or university.
At stronger-mind hypnotherapy we want you to be in the very best place possible when you sit your exams. With this in mind we have created a 4-week programme specifically tailored to dealing with exam stress and anxiety.
Overview:
Discovery Phone call: Once you get in touch, I will arrange a free 10 minute chat to talk over what the Get Exam Ready programme offers. You can ask questions and then decide if it’s a good fit for you.
Session 1: Initial Consultation – We will establish where you are at and where you want to get to. You will learn why your brain does what it does in relation to exam stress and how we can start to change this into something helpful. Note: It may be beneficial to have a parent/carer sit in on this session, so they also hear the brain explanation. This will be discussed prior to session 1.
Session 2: In session 2 we will discuss what’s been good in your week. We will then revise the brain explanation. Check in and see where you are at, created a development picture and then have couch time (hypnotherapy).
Session 3: In session 3 we will discuss what’s been good in your week. We will then revise the brain explanation, going into depth in a few parts. We then carry out the “reframe” this is a wonderful tool that we use to introduce to our brains to how we actually want to feel and be when we have exams. It is a very powerful tool that will leave you feeling far more positive and in control. This is done during couch time.
Session 4: In session 3 we will discuss what’s been good in your week. We will then revise the brain explanation, going into depth in a few different parts. We repeat the “reframe” and add more detail and depth. You will also be taught an anchoring technique. This is great way to gain control and will help you be in the best mindset possible to sit those pesky exams. Lastly we have couch time.
As part of this program, you will receive my MP3 recording and have access to resources that will help you get exam ready.
Please Note: This is a 4-week programme specifically for exam stress and anxiety. After the initially consultation if I feel there is more going on I will suggest that more sessions would be required based on the individual client’s needs. If this is the case, then session 2 is repeated so that we can get to a place where we can carry out session 3 and 4 effectively.
