Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) incorporates elements of cognitive behavioural therapy and neuro linguistic programming. It combines effective talking therapy with hypnotic trance to help you take control of your life, bring about positive change, and develop the confidence to achieve your goals.

SFH works most effectively as a therapeutic partnership so if you have decided to make that change, then we can work together to bring about a significant shift in the way you think, the way you feel and the way you behave.

We do this through sessions where we help you to understand how and why your brain works the way is does. We talk about the power of our thoughts and how these shape our day to day lives. We use hypnotic trance (hypnosis being the process, trance being the outcome) to allow our clients to enter into a changed state of awareness of which they are in complete control of. In this state we are more susceptible to positive suggestion. Trance allows us to relax, it gives us the opportunity to imagine, create and rehearse the positive future we wish to create for ourselves as we are able to access our powerful subconscious mind.

Crucially, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, therapists look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).
